Sagrada Família Tickets: Prices, Towers, Hours and Entry Rules

The basilica sells timed, named tickets on its own website and app. These are the official prices, opening hours, dress and bag rules, and how to avoid paying a reseller's markup.

Official Sagrada Família tickets cost €26 for the basilica with an audioguide and €36 with a tower visit, as of November 2026. They are sold only online, on the official website or app, for a fixed time slot and in the visitor’s name. From November to February it opens Monday to Saturday 9:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 10:30 to 18:00.

Which ticket should you buy?

The official price list has four options for individual visitors, all including the audioguide in the official app:

Ticket Base price Seniors Under 30s and students
Sagrada Família (basilica) €26 €21 €24
With guided tour €30 €23 €28
With towers €36 €28 €34
With guided tour and towers €40 €32 €38

Children under 11 and people with disabilities pay nothing for any of the four options. A companion of a person with a disability enters the basilica free and pays only for extras: €4 for the guided tour, €10 for a tower or €14 for both. Prices are per person, as of November 2026.

The audioguide comes in 19 languages, plus sign-language guides in Catalan, Spanish and International Sign, in a 45-minute standard or 25-minute express version. Bring your own earphones: audio without earphones is not allowed inside.

Is there a discount for Barcelona residents?

Yes. The basilica offers a 50% promotion for Barcelona city residents. You must request it by email at least 48 hours before your visit and provide proof of residence, such as a padrón certificate. It cannot be combined with other discounts. Holders of the Carnet Jove get the under-30 price by choosing that option online and entering their ID number.

What are the tower visits like?

You choose a tower on the Nativity façade, with views over the eastern side of the city, or on the Passion façade, looking toward the city center. Visitors take a lift up and walk down the stairs.

  • Children under 6 cannot go up; those aged 6 to 16 must be with an adult.
  • The towers are not accessible for people with reduced mobility.
  • Bags and rucksacks are not allowed in the towers and must go in the lockers provided for the climb. There are no lockers for suitcases.
  • If the towers close, for example because of weather, the basilica says no refund is given for the tower part.

What are the opening hours?

Period Monday to Friday Saturday Sunday
November to February 9:00 to 18:00 9:00 to 18:00 10:30 to 18:00
March and October 9:00 to 19:00 9:00 to 18:00 10:30 to 19:00
April to September 9:00 to 20:00 9:00 to 18:00 10:30 to 20:00

On 25 and 26 December and on 1 and 6 January the basilica opens from 9:00 to 14:00. Since 2 February 2026, 9:00 to 10:00 is a quiet hour for prayer, when visitors must keep silent. Times can change for special events, so check the official site the week of your visit.

What are the dress and bag rules?

The basilica is a Catholic church and applies these rules at the entrance:

  • Trousers and skirts must reach at least mid-thigh.
  • Bare shoulders are not allowed in the Chapel of the Holy Sacrament.
  • No hats in the nave or museum, except for religious or health reasons.
  • No festive costumes or attention-seeking decorations.
  • Bags are checked at security, and outside food, drinks and dangerous items are not allowed in. The basilica recommends not bringing a rucksack.
  • Tripods and professional photo or video equipment need prior press accreditation.

Bring official photo ID: tickets are personal and non-transferable, and staff check names at the door, along with proof for any discount.

How do you avoid unofficial resellers?

  1. Buy only on sagradafamilia.org or the official Sagrada Família app. The basilica states that tickets can only be bought online.
  2. Book about two months ahead in busy periods; the basilica says tickets go on sale roughly two months before the visit.
  3. Enter the details of the actual visitor. Names cannot be changed after booking, so a ticket bought from a stranger may not get you in.
  4. Be on time. Tickets are valid only for the slot chosen, and late arrivals cannot enter.

Tour companies also sell visits that include a ticket. If you use one, make sure the name on the ticket will be yours. As a rule, tickets are not exchanged or refunded; requests must be made by email at least 48 hours before the visit, or with official proof inside 48 hours.

Bottom line

If you live in Barcelona, send the residents’ discount request before you book anything, and pick a weekday morning slot after the 9:00 quiet hour for a calmer visit. Visitors should book on the official site as soon as their dates are fixed, and choose the tower ticket only if everyone in the group meets the age and mobility rules.
